Clayton Patterson – CEO
As the Chief Financial Officer of Patterson Enterprises Clayton was instrumental in obtaining and successfully completing a significant number of multi-million dollar contracts. After helping oversee approximately $250 million dollars in contracts while with Patterson Enterprises, he utilized his skill sets to consult for other businesses and organizations abroad. Some such projects include the development of over a dozen solar projects, including solar farms and roof-mounted systems, the installation of underground and overhead electrical transmission systems in several cities, construction of electrical substations, and renovation of high voltage systems for government owned airports. He is fluent in several dialects of Thai and Laotian, which combined with his business acumen has led to respect, friendships, and business relationships with influential business and government leaders throughout Southeast Asia. This became the basis for identifying opportunities and building a pipeline of projects for UCC.
Harold Patterson – CFO
Harold became a third generation CEO of Patterson Enterprises in 2009. Through his efforts, Enterprises became a regional builder obtaining contracts in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and other southwestern states. Patterson is experienced in projects that include the design and development of roads, electric and communications lines, water, sewer, and structures, such as the demolition of 64 single family homes and construction of 141 single family homes for the Gila River Indian Community. Harold has managed approximately 400 million USD of projects over the last ten years, and administers an annual top line in sales that regularly exceeds 40 million USD. These deals have required arduous negotiations with local and federal agencies, special committees, and subcontractors.
Management
Michael Brungard – Head of Project Engineering
Michael has over 30 years of project management, design engineering, and construction administration experience with a focus on alternative energy projects. He has overseen the design and construction of large and diverse projects ranging in scale from Master-Planned Communities in the Phoenix Metro Area to approximately 2-GW of utility-scale solar projects in California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. He has also contributed to the feasibility studies and design plans for multiple hydropower projects. He has considerable experience in evaluating projects and development efforts from site feasibility to commissioning and throughout operations. He is experienced in identifying and solving issues related to integration of distributed generators on the distribution system level, particularly wind and solar. Mr. Brungard’s experience makes him a key component in conducting technical, legal, and financial due diligence on prospective acquisitions and development opportunities, particularly renewable energy projects.
Supakon Lertmongkon – Head of Government Relations
Supakon spent most of his professional career with the Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand, and retired as a regional director over the Southern Region of Thailand. He was known for his exemplary performance and innovative methods. In 2002, he was inducted into the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant by the Thai Prime Minister. His region was recognized as best managed in the country five years in a row from 2007 to 2011 when he was awarded with the Distinguished Executive Award. He created three programs aimed at social responsibility which were adopted by the whole country. His experience includes management of planning, construction, and maintenance of generation, transmission, and distribution systems. He brings with him valuable relationships in PEA and other relevant government agencies.
Emma Buss – Head of Research and Compliance
Prior to joining the UCC team, Emma worked for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System doing research, forecasting, and policy analysis in international finance. With an eye for detail, she provides UCC with essential market research and analysis, vets projects, and oversees due diligence and in-house translation. Emma is fluent in Thai at a professional level with 7 years experience of translation – primarily legal, governmental, and business documents – as well as 2 years experience with live interpretation, allowing her to seamlessly research, verify, and translate documents in both Thai and English.
Emma holds degrees in Mathematics and Economics, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
Lona King – Head of HR and Controller
Lona has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance for construction, development, and tech firms. She has managed accounts for companies with over $75 Million USD in annual sales and over 80 employees. She has overseen budgets and reports and acted as 401K plan administrator. She has created Employee Handbooks and HR policies and procedures at many firms. Lona has implemented accounting and financial practices that led to greater success and stability for the companies. Lona oversees US accounting for UCC and is involved in developing HR and other company policies. Lona graduated with honors from both Arizona State University in Accountancy and San Jose State University with a Master of Business Administration focused in finance.
